50th Birthday Survivor

Hello friends, Amanda here today with a super fun 50th Birthday Card I made for a dear friend, and I bet you can't guess what her favorite show is!?!?   I just love that Jaded Blossom gives us so many amazing products to mix and match and be able to truly customize the perfect creations!

I had so much fun creating this custom birthday card and just tickled with the way it turned out!  To create my beachy backdrop, I used the newly released Horizontal Stitched Clouds Card Mat Dies for the sky and the Tropical Dies for the waves and sand!  I added a sun from the Gnome Dies: Weather Add Ons and a few clouds from the newly released Spring Scenic Dies and used the Tropical Dies 2 for the cute little palm tree!  I used the Girl Gnome Die to create my survivor carrying her torch from the Tropical Dies and gave her an idol from Gnome Dies: Tiki Add Ons to keep her safe and made sure she's eating good with her chicken from Farm Scenic Dies (protein from the eggs of course 😁).

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful and crafty day!

Summer Fun

 Hi Crafty Friends,

It's Larelyn from Handmade From My Heart.

Some crafting friends and I challenged one another to make cards using an entire 6 x 6 paper pad.
I chose Echo Park's I Love Summer.  After looking through all the pattern papers I realized that I had the perfect Jaded Blossom Dies to help me complete this challenge.

Here are 5 of the cards I created.  I made a total of 11 but some of my fellow crafters made upwards of 25!  I used entire sheets for mats so my papers didn't go as far.  This was a fun challenge and I encourage you to try it.  You can find some adorable 6 x 6 pads in the Jaded Blossom store.

I used these Jaded Blossom Die sets:

Thanks for looking.

Live in the Sun, Surf in the Sea

Happy Friday everyone! Have you checked out this month's monthly challenge at Jaded Blossom? The theme for June is: SUMMER!
You still have time to play along with us! The deadline to link up your summer card is July 4th at 11:59pm PST for a chance to win a FREE stamp set of your choice!

My son LOVES Pixie Sticks and summer so I combined his two loves for this project. I used the Scallop Caddy Die to create a holder for his pixie sticks!

To create the clouds, I cut a piece of cardstock using one of the cloud dies from the Border Dies 2 Set to create a template. Since this has a stitched border, I added a thin layer of glue on the back of the die cut over the stitched holes and then let it dry. If you don't do this, when you go to rub ink over the paper die-cut it will seep through the holes and leave a blue stitched border.

Next, I cut out waves using one of the dies from the Tropical Dies Set. If you have this set, you probably noticed the original wave die has the waves facing the opposite direction, but I needed the waves to face to the left since my cute grasshopper faced that way. When I ran the paper and die through the cutter, I used a clean cutting plate so I didn't have any marks on the backside of the die. This allowed me to flip it and use the backside without having a bunch of marks/indentions.

After I cut the waves, I used the Scallop Caddy Die cover plate to cut out the wave panels so they were slightly slanted. Then I applied Distress Oxide ink (Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire) over the wave panels and splattered water on top. I also cut out white waves to layer behind the blue panels. The waves were adhered using foam tape for extra dimension. The awesome surfboard and sentiment are from the SURF'S UP Stamp Set. The cute, happy, and adorable grasshopper is from the Baby Bugs Stamp Set (the Freebie set from May).

We Mermaid To Be Friends

Happy Friday everyone! It's Rosemary here today sharing a summery, floral card featuring MERMAID KISSES. Remember, our current CHALLENGE this month is FLOWER POWER! You have until June 7th to play along with us!

I love the beach and usually pick somewhere tropical to go on vacation. Since vacation plans are on hold for a while due to everything going on, I decided to transport myself there with this card. I colored this gorgeous Mermaid using Copic Markers and then added Gold paint to certain areas.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11, E13
Hair: BV08, V17, V15, V04
Pink: RV02, RV06, RV09
Teal: BG10, BG13, BG15, BG78
Tail: BG18, BG13, BG10, V04, V17, RV02, RV04, RV09
Gold Paint Pen

To create the card, I cut two large stitched rectangles using the RECTANGLE DIES 2. On one rectangle, I used the following colors to create a sunset sky: Scattered Straw, Ripe Persimmon, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire.

On the 2nd rectangle, I used Broken China and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink to color half of it. Then I used one of the wave border dies from the TROPICAL DIES to cut it out. I also cut a second wave border from the white half of the rectangle. I splattered water over the blue distressed piece and adhered it on top of the white wave exposing the white border at the top. Next I placed the mermaid partially behind the wave with her hair toward the front. Both the wave and mermaid are raised on foam tape. To finish off the card, I added flowers and enamel dots.

For more inspiration head over to the Jaded Blossom Blog! And be sure to check out the Jaded Blossom Store for all your stamps and gift giving supplies. They have various Cutting Dies to make party favors along with Favor Bags and Boxes.

Hugs,
Rosemary

Happy Mer-May!

Good morning!  It's Marcia from The Frolicking Fairy on the Jaded Blossom blog today.  In honor of Mer-May, I decided to create this fun treat bag perfect for birthday treats or just for fun. My youngest has already decided it was made for her, so it will likely carry a number of very random items. :)

First, I started by stamping the mermaid from Mermaid Kisses onto watercolor cardstock and watercoloring with Distress Markers. Inspired by her headpiece and necklace, I die cut a starfish and shell from the Tropical Dies in colors to match -- the starfish in gold foil and the shell from purple. Next, I die cut the Goody Bag Die base from sturdy white card and the inner stitched panel from patterned paper in my stash. I inked the edges of the bag and stitched panel with Distress Ink and stamped a sentiment from the Mermaid Kisses stamp set on the top of the panel. I assembled the bag and attached all the elements. I think this would be precious as a party favor bag for a mermaid party too!! (Let your kids help you color!)

Until next time..

Hello Everyone! Mel from Doxie Mel Designs with a new treat box idea for you. I wanted to create a project with Jaded Blossom's Spotlight of the Month Stamp Set, Tickled Pink. I found this svg box with the flamingo and added some "sand" with Jaded Blossom's Tropical Dies.

Drifting By....

Hi everyone!
Stacey here with you today and I made this adorable birhday themed card using some of those awesome Jaded Blossom stamps & dies!

This was so fun to make! I started my creating a card base from some white cardstock. I used the Tropical Dies to create my ocean floor and used some distress inks and splattered it onto the kraft cardstock. I adhered it onto a piece of blue patterned paper and stamped my greeting from the Make Waves stamp set with some Versafine ink. I adhered it to my card base and colored that adorable fish from the Make Waves stamp set with my Copics. I used my Scan N Cut to cut him out & popped him up with some foam tape. I used the Rectangle Internal Scallops and created a yellow frame for my scene & added some "seaweed" by turning the mistletoe from the Mistletoe Kisses stamp set upside down. I completed my card by adding some twine along the top, some Nuvo drops along the sea bottom and some clear Nuvo drops to act as air bubbles coming from the fishy :)

I think this turned out so adorable!
