Christmas in June

Hello, there! Cynthia here sharing a tag project on the last day of June as I prepare for Christmas in July. I usually Christmas craft throughout the year but work and real life gets in the way of my crafty life. LOL. I have been gathering up stamps and dies and embellishments in preparation for the upcoming month!

I die cut a tag that I had in my stash in 110# cardstock and die cut the same tag in patterned cardstock so that it is nice and sturdy for my project. I stamped the gingerbread image from the Clear Jar Christmas Add Ons on the Clear Jar stamp and colored up the cookies with Copic Markers. I stamped the lid on patterned cardstock and added it to the jar. I die cut a doily in green and white in order to highlight the die and placed it under the stamp to highlight it. I added baker’s twine, a tiny fabric bow, and a glittered center to the bow. I stamped a sentiment from Mrs. Clays Baking Co, added twine and a button to finish off the tag. Super easy and fun!

Guest Designer Julee!

Howdy Pardner! It's Julee Tilman here again with another guest post featuring the ridiculously cute June release! I just can't get enough of these little cowboy gnomies.

For my first card I die cut the Gnome Dies: Cowboy Add Ons from white paper and then colored with Copics. An easy way to get a real rope like look when you're coloring the lasso is to add a slightly darker slash between each of the stitch marks. It's a small detail, but I really think it makes it pop.

I had a little stick horse as a girl and have fond memories of trotting around in the open farmland with my horsey! So horsey definitely needed some open range for this card. The background is ink blended with blue inks about 3/4 of the way down the panel. I then used green ink to approximate the grass for the last 1/4, letting it fade out where the two colors met. I then pulled out the Cloud Stencil and some white pigment ink to add a touch of cloudiness to the sky. And just because the weather is crazy here in Idaho, I splattered a bit of white bleed proof ink across the sky. It could be snow, could be cottonwood pollen. {grin}

My gnome is assembled with  glue and I popped the curly mustache and the nose from the Gnome Dies up for a little dimension. I finished with the sentiment from Howdy Gnomie embossed onto vellum cardstock, then cut with the coordinating outline dies. I cut two more die cuts of the sentiment, then layered them all together for thickness.

While I absolutely LOVE to color now, that wasn't the case when I first started stamping. So for this card I set out to make a card with minimal coloring.  I couldn't resist adding a bit of shading here and there, since cowboy hats and boots are rarely spic and span. I die cut the gnome pieces from kraft and dark brown cardstock. The star on his hat was die cut and then coated with foundry wax for a metallic look.  I added the same star die cut in navy as an accent down the side of the card.

The background panel is stamped with one of the stamps from the Farm Sweet Farm freebie, and I finished off with a birthday sentiment from Howdy Gnomie.

Thanks so much for having me as a guest this month! I had so much fun creating with my gnomies!

Udderly Fantastic!

 Hey Everyone!

Jamie here to share a card with you!

I used the new Udderly Fantastic set to create this card. I started with the Sunburst Card Mat Die and cut pattern paper from Echo Park Giddy Up. Then I colored the cow head and pop dotted it to the card. Last I stamped a sentiment to a Sentiment Strip Die and added it to the card front.

One More Graduation Card

Happy Monday my crafty friends!!
Today I am sharing a graduation card I created - yes graduations are still going on here!!
I am in Oregon and the University just had graduation last week and
most high schools finished up about the same time too.
Seems we are often a bit later than the rest of the country.
It is officially summer break for us now.
Anywho I had one more grad I needed to get a card off to so I thought
I would share the card I created for him -

I used the following Jaded Blossom products on my card today -

I used the Gnome Dies: Patriotic Add Ons to cut out the stars from gold paper.
I also added a shadow layer under the sentiment with some gold paper.  I feel this helps the sentiment stand out from the busy background paper better.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Udderly Fantastic Card Set

Happy Friday friends! It's Rosie here today sharing a quick and simple card idea using one of the new stamp sets released this month called UDDERLY FANTASTIC! I previously showcased this stamp set on my blog HERE where I embossed the image in gold and colored it in with Copic Markers. But today, I wanted to show you guys how you can use this stamp set to create several cards easily without coloring. These literally took minutes to put together, and I LOVE them!

The Christmas card took the longest to create (and still only took minutes) because I inked up the background myself in Christmas colors before stamping the image and sentiment. For the other cards, I used pre-printed card bases that came as a set from Hobby Lobby. I told you....easy peasy!!

Remember, Jaded Blossom has a current MASCULINE THEME CHALLENGE. You have until JULY 2nd to play along for a chance to win a free stamp set! And, be sure to check out the Jaded Blossom Store for all your stamps and gift giving supplies. They have various Cutting Dies to make party favors along with Favor Bags and Boxes.

Hugs,
Rosie

Yee-Haw Gnomies

Hello, crafty friends! Cynthia here, sharing a new card using up some dies and stamps from our newest releases. I am tickled by the Gnome Dies and love the accessories, fun add-ons, and coordinating dies and stamps!

I colored up this cowboy's beard and handlebar mustache with Copic Markers. Coloring them up gives the gnome some dimension and some texture. I die cut the hat, silver star, and toy pony from the Add Ons set. I die cut the base in red and added newspaper patterned paper to give the card an aged look.  I added the hay bale from Farm Scenic Dies set and added the sentiment from Howdy Gnomies to finish the card. So fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Guest Designer, Julee!

Yee-haw gnomies! I am so excited to be a Guest Designer for the month of June at Jaded Blossom! Did you see the latest release? It's fabulous! For today's project, I couldn't decide between gnomes or treats, so I combined the two.

I began with the Gnome Dies: Cowboy Add ons, cutting the spotted hat twice, then in-laying the black pieces for that classic cow look. I cut the boots from black cardstock, then chocolate cardstock for the new curly mustache, and kraft for the lasso. After adding a few Copic accents to the rope, nose and beard, I assembled this sweet guy on the base from the original Gnome Dies set.

Next I pulled out the original Octagon Treat Box and cut the base and handle from kraft cardstock, then assembled. I then cut the octagon shape from red cardstock and used the stitching die from the Border Dies set to add that paneled look. To add more accent I blended red ink where all the stitching marks were on the octagon.  Then it was time to move on to the barn pieces from the Octagon Treat Box: Farm Add ons. As I assembled things, I decided I wanted a little something at the bottom so borrowed the grass piece from the Octagon Treat Box: Easter Add ons.

Once my treat box was looking barn-like, I added my assembled gnome to the rooftop, then pulled out a sentiment from the Howdy Gnomie set and stamped it onto a die from the Mini Tag Dies 3 set. A treat box needs treats, so I found some Hershey Nuggets and used the Panel Dies with some patterned paper to make wrappers for the nuggets to go inside the box.

While I had everything out on my desk, I took a look at the Panels Dies and realized it could work for the barn base giving that paneled look with just one pass through the die cut machine. I love that you can use the treat box add ons on cards as well as on treat boxes.

I thought it would be fun to have the cow from the Farm Sweet Farm freebie peeking out the upper window, so I embossed him in brown and fussy cut to have his little head popping out.  I added the horseshoe from the Gnome Dies: St. Patrick's Day Add ons for a little accent on the door, then finished off the barn with some piles of hay.

For the sentiment I embossed the Farm Sweet Farm sentiment in white on a Stitched Circle die cut, then accented with an apple from the Gnome Dies: School Add Ons. The finished size of the card is 5.5" square.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderfully creative day!
