Guest Designer ~ Jen!

Hello gardeners & blossoms! Today is my last day as a guest designer for Jaded Blossom. It's bittersweet for me because I've had such a wonderful experience. Now it's time for me to focus on graduating in two weeks. I don't talk about my mom much, but I get my craftiness from her and I love that she's so loving and giving. She's always thinking of others and showing her appreciation for her co-workers. My mom is a hero, she is a nurse. An LPN (she says it stands for Low Paid Nurse) She's pretty funny too!  Nurse's Day is on Friday, May 6th and I wanted to show how much I appreciate her and her profession.

Have A Barking Good Birthday

Hi everyone! This is GiGi from The Cricut Bug and I have a  treat bag to share using the Monthly Spotlight stamp set, Party Animal. This happens to be one of my FAV stamp sets so of course I had to make something with it!

I started this project with the Dainty Topper Die and added it to a Gusset Bag I filled with goodies.
I lined the bottom of the bag with a piece of cardstock and added a border cut with the Border Dies.
I cut the dog from the SVG Cutting Files Kawaii Pup and pop dotted her to the front of the bag.
I gave her a bow I cut with the Bow Dies and a balloon I cut with the Birthday Dies.
To finish, I stamped the sentiment from the Party Animal stamp set onto a tag I cut with the Flag Dies 2 and glued it to the topper. The cupcake was stamped from the Birthday Luggage Tag and I added it on a circle cut with the Mini Tag Dies 2.

I hope you all liked my project and thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

Thank You for helping me grow!

Hey Everyone!

Jamie here and with Teacher Appreciation Week coming up I have a project to share!

I created an eos holder with all dies! To created the flower I started with the largest Stitched Circle Die and 2 other sizes. I then cut out the big heart from Valentine's Dies and attached it all the way around the 2 bigger sizes. Then I took the center of the sun from Spring Dies 2 and put it on top of the smallest circle and ran it through the big shot. It is too many layer to cut all the way through, so I used an exacto knife to cut through the layers and attached the eos. Last I stamped a sentiment on a Flag Die 2 and added it to the flower.

Dandelions!

It's Melissa from M Miranda Creations and today is my day to share.

I want to share some cards with you that are really simple to make with only a few basic supplies. Sometimes we just need something quick for unexpected occasions or for Just Because moments that will not last long. And sometimes we want to give a card to a friend who is not really into all the frills and such. These cards will work for all those occasion.

Here are my cards:

For all three of them, I used the Dandelions stamp set as my focal. I have been wanting to use this stamp set for awhile, so I am glad it worked so beautifully for these cards. I then found three different Jaded Blossom sentiments that would work with the image. The card bases are all A2 size and made with Papertrey Ink's Vintage Cream cardstock.

The sentiments come from Simple Sayings (With Sympathy), Hey Chickie (Thinking of You), and Encouragement (Sending You Lots of Encouragement).

I used a piece of designer paper from the Authentique 6x6 paper pad called Seasons: Summer. It is full of beautiful yellows and teals! The ink is Evergreen Bough Distress Ink. The panels stamped with the Dandelion images are 2.75 x 2.75". I placed the stamped panels in the same upper left hand corner of each card, but put my sentiments in varying places to give each a slightly different look. And the best part is that the only tools I used for this was my paper trimmer, my inking tool, and some scissors. Now for just a bit of added dimension, I did use craft foam under my panels to pop them off the card; but I don't think it would be necessary.

Another fun way to do it would be to mask off a square right on the paper and use inks to make a background and then add the Dandelion and sentiment. Then remove the mask and you have a completely one layer card.

Hope you have enjoyed today's project!!!

Thinking of You

Hello everyone!  This is Cassandra from Creating with Color by Cassandra.  And today I'm trying a new watercolor technique that I learned in class at the Scrapbook Expo.  I hope you like it!

This is a 4.25 x 4.25 size card.  I cut the square piece using the Jaded Blossom ~ Stitched Square Dies.  All of the stamped elements on the card are from the Jaded Blossom ~ Seasonal Tree.  I used Marvy Markers and watercolor paper to create my image.  I think I still need a bit of practice, but not bad for my first try.  :)

Well my creative friends, that's it for me today.  I will see you all again soon.  Have a great day!
