Valentine Treats

Hey everyone!  It's Candace from Candi O. Designs and it's my day over at Jaded Blossom!  With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I made a couple of treats and a shaker card for my projects today.  JB has some super cute stamp sets and dies that are perfect to show your "love"!!
First up I made a shaker card using the jar stamp from Spread the Love (revamp).  I stamped the jar twice, cut each out and then cut out the center of one to make the shaker.  I forgot how fun shaker cards are to make!!
Next, I created this holder from the Scallop Caddy Die, it fits two small candy bars perfectly!! These are my son's favorite so he'll get this on Valentine's Day!

Lastly, I whipped up these pencil treats for my daughter to give friends at school.  Super quick and easy treat ~ 2 pencils fit in the 1x8 bags!

Products Used:
Paper: Pebbles ~ My Funny Valentine and Fancy Pants ~ Sweet Nothings
Ribbon, Twine, Sequins, Enamel Dots and Glitter

Guest Designer, Sarah!

Whoot Whoot!!! You haven't seen the last of me yet!
That's right, I'm back :)  for a few more days this month at least.

Today's project is for a wedding my husband and I are going to next month for some very dear friends of ours.
With everyone posting ideas through pintrest on what they want certain parts of their lives to be like, it was easy to get an idea that this wedding is going to be nothing but Pure Country.
We just received our invitation a few days ago, and boy was I right on my guessing, the bride chose creams and tans for her base colors, she added burlap and a bright green for accents.  Her invitations were so cute, I can only imagine what the event will be like.

After I got married, I realized I had all these little trinkets I wanted to keep but had no one place to store them all safe and sound.

I bought these adorable burlap goodie bags and went to work.
Many of her posts on pintrest included mason jars for different parts of the event.  Good thing Jaded Blossom has a great one!!!

I inked heavy on the stamp since the burlap is course and I wanted the image to be clear. I used the Jar stamp from the Spread the Love set.
Then I used hearts from the Wedding Candies stamp set and just put a few in the jar.  They kind of look like fireflies too.
I went over the outside and some accents of the jar and around the hearts with lime green stickles.
and over the top of it all, I put their wedding date.
I used the ribbon from her invitation to tie around the top of the bag.

I plan on using this as the gift bag for part of their wedding present.

I hope you like it, I sure enjoyed making it.  and you can bet I'll be updating you on how amazing the wedding was when we get home.

Here's what I used:
Standard A2 card out of kraft paper
Echo Park paper from Abby's Store
SPREAD THE LOVE stamp set from Jaded Blossom
FLAG DIE from Jaded Blossom (I just used the die to get a straight cut for my yellow pattern paper!)
BUG-A-BOO stamp set from Jaded Blossom
I got the little lightening bugs from the Silhouette Store and cut them on my Cameo
I added a little stickles to the bugs bums to make them sparkle! :0)
I finished the card with some bling from my stash and some Timeless Twine.
I hope you enjoyed this card!

Release Week Day 2 - Canning !!!

Thanks for joining us for Day 2 of Release week !!!
Its that time of year, All our wonderful summer fruits are getting ripe!

I absolutely LOVE blackberry jam, so every year I make as much as I can and decorate the jars and give them as Christmas gifts.
Jam is one of the easiest things to make and really doesn't take that much time. What a sweet way to show someone you care, then with something you have made.

So today's Stamp sets being featured are "Canning Basics" & "Spread the Love"
