I Carrot a Lot About You

Hello, crafty friends! Cynthia here sharing a new card using one of my favorite stencils, Carrol Stencil. I love that each stencil provides great coverage for a card’s background. I used orange and bright red ink for the carrot and a bright green ink for the leaves. I overlayed the Sunburst Card Mat Die in matching kelly green cardstock.

I colored up the Chubby Carrot to mirror the stencil and added some glasses to add quirkiness to her face. I stamped the sentiment and die cut the coordinating outlines. I added a few sweet hearts to the card, affixed it on the kraft cardstock base, and the card is done!

I Carrot A Lot About You

 Hey Everyone!

Jamie here and I have a card to share with you!

I started with the Carrot Stencil to create the background then I used the Diagonal Card Mat Die. I layered a Stitched Oval and pop dotted the cute carrot from Chubby Carrot to the oval. I finished off the card with a sentiment from the same set and a few sequins.

Happiest of Days

Hi everyone, it's Julee here, and today I have a soft and pretty spring birthday card to share with you.

I started this card with the gorgeous new Tulips layering set. I stamped the outline of the tulip with stem and the leaf in black ink, then stamped the highlight portion for the flower and leaf in a fadeout no line watercolor ink.  I then used those faint lines to go in with copic markers in my darkest shades and add the shadows, then blend out the rest of the image with lighter shades. I then cut with the coordinating Tulips Outline Dies and assembled together.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I get stuck in a reality rut, thinking things need to be their actual color... especially with stencils. Here I started with the idea of traditional orange carrots as a background, but then decided to give a tone on tone look a try and I love the way it turned out! So here I stenciled the Carrot Stencil with the same color ink as the cardstock, then added the carrot tops with a light green ink for a soft and subtle background,. This allows my tulip image to take center stage on the card. The sentiment is from the Hello Beautiful stamp set (I just LOVE these gorgeous sentiments) and embossed in white onto a Stitched Oval Die cut. I then matted with a vellum die cut with the Scallop Oval Dies and accented the scallops with some nuvo drops.  I finished off with the Card Mat Dies for a finished edge on my background panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative day!

You Crack Me Up

Hey everyone! It's Julee here, bringing you a little springtime inspiration! Are you smitten with the new March release? I know I am! The gnome die add ons are always a favorite, and the new Gnome Dies: Easter Add Ons 2 is definitely a must have! Pair it with a fun stencil and you've got a carrot patch dream.

I started this card with that cute carrot hat. Isn't it darling? I die cut from white cardstock, then colored with copic markers.  The Gnome Dies beard and hat were cut from a light gray cardstock and I used a white gel pen for accents.  I thought it would be fun to have my gnome incognito as a bunny, so added some eyes from the Gnome Dies: Chick Add Ons to the bunny nose mask. Then I added a carrot from the Build a Booth: Easter Add Ons in his other hand.  I used the Gnome Dies: Leg Add Ons for his pants and feet. He just cracks me up with his buck teeth and carrot top, so I decided to use  the sentiment from the Easter Tweetings set.

For the background I used the new Carrot Stencil set on white cardstock, then cut with one of the curved stitch dies from the Border Dies 2 set. I matted with a scallop from the same set, then added to a panel of light green cardstock and used the Card Mat Dies for a finished edge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative day.
