Bone Chilling Halloween

Hi crafty friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in with a little Jaded Blossom inspiration for your day. I've been loving creating Halloween cards lately, and I've got a bone chilling one for you today.

I usually stay firmly on the cutesy side of the Halloween spectrum, but today's card took a little spookier turn. I started by assembling the witch doctor from the Gnome Dies: Monster Add Ons 2 set. All pieces were cut from cardstock. I colored the black pieces with distress inks and all the other pieces with alcohol markers, adding a few white gel pen accents on the feathers where the embossed veins were.  Once he was put together, I thought it would be fun to have a pile of bones behind him, so I pulled out the Clear Jar: Halloween Add Ons and stamped the pile of bones a couple of times, then colored and cut out to place behind my gnomie.

For the background I stamped a red piece of cardstock randomly with stamps from the Paisley set.  I liked the subtle bit of texture it added.  The black panel is gray cardstock that I stenciled with the Spiderweb Stencil in black ink. I think that's one of my favorite stencils!

The sentiment is from the Bone Chilling Treats set and embossed in white on black cardstock, then cut with the coordinating Outline Dies. To finish things off I created a skull and crossbones with the skull and bone in the Monster Add Ons 2, cutting the two bones in half and gluing them behind the skull.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabuolously creative day!

It's a MONSTER MARSH Bag Topper!

Happy Friday everyone! Halloween is quickly approaching so I'm creating various treat holders for those upcoming spooky get-togethers. I LOVE the versatility of Jaded Blossom Stamps and Dies and how you can mix and match them to create some monsterific projects.

Today, I combined the Build A Booth: Monster Add Ons with the XL Topper Die to create a bag topper for Monster Marsh chocolate stuffed marshmallows! To be able to create a face, I needed more space at the top to fit the hair and eyes so I cut the topper die in half, turned it upside down and glued the new top edge together. That gave me more room to add the eyes, and also moved the rounded corners to the bottom to create more of a face shape.

I cut two hair pieces from black cardstock to go along the top of the bag topper. The handle area of the topper die became the mouth for my monster. I used the negative space from the jack-o-lantern mouth die in the Build A Booth: Monster Add Ons to create the teeth. The sentiment is from the Bone Chilling Treats Stamp Set

Halloween Lollipop Holders

Happy Friday friends! It's Rosie here today sharing my latest project. With Halloween right around the corner, I'm still working on those spooky treats. If you have children or plan on throwing a party, then be sure to throw together some frightful and fa-BOO-lous Halloween-themed Lollipop Holders. These come together quickly with Jaded Blossom Stamps and Dies and make the perfect party favors!

For the Ghost Lollipop Holder, I used the ghost from the Gnome Dies: Halloween Add Ons. The sentiment is from Bone Chilling Treats Stamps. I cut the sentiment out using the sign die from the Fall Dies Set.

For the Jack-o-Lantern Lollipop Holder I used the stack of pumpkins from the Gnome Dies: Fall Add Ons, and the cat from the Gnome Dies: Halloween Add Ons. The paper is from Doodlebug Design.

Remember, Jaded Blossom has a current ANYTHING GOES Challenge. You have until October 1st to play along for a chance to win a free stamp set!
