With Love and Remembrance

 Hello, crafty friends! Cynthia here sharing this simple card using a stencil and a sentiment stamp. I create a myriad of happy, fun cards but did not have any cards that provided sympathy and comfort during difficult times. I made a few sympathy cards using the assembly line method to have on hand. Stencils add great background coverage and a sweet sentiment finishes the card.

I trimmed a few card fronts in 4x5.25 size then stenciled each one. I chose the Vine stencil due to it's simplicity and the ability to cover most of the background.  I colored the leaves in browns and greens and added a pop of pink ink to some of the petals. I used my stamp positioner to ensure that placement of the heartfelt sentiment was the same in all the cards.

I chose a kraft card base to frame the elegant card, stamped the back with my signature and the card is done and ready to give away to loved ones.

Butterfly Hello

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in with a bit of Jaded Blossom inspiration. Today I'm pulling out a few oldies but goodies and bringing the spring vibes. 

This month, the Jaded Blossom challenge is to use stencils, so I pulled out the Vine Stencil for the background on this one. For my focal images, I chose the multi step stamping set, Butterflies. I inked up the top half of the solid butterfly with yellow and the bottom half with orange for a nice two tone look I stamped the frame and antennae in black, then added some white gel pen accents to the tips of the butterfly wings. Next I cut the butterflies with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  They're adhered with liquid glue in the centers, then each wing is popped up with a foam dot for that flying off the page look.

The stenciled panel was cut with the Rectangle 1 Dies and I chose a black mat for it using the Scallop Rectangles 1 Dies. The hello is from Basic Word Dies, and I cut it 3 times from black and layered for some extra dimension. I finished off with an A2 card base and a few sparkle enamel dots for accent.

It's Larelyn from Handmade From My Heart.  It's my day to post a Jaded Blossom project.

I have loved Jaded Blossom for many, many years so my stamp and die collection is quite extensive.

I categorize many of my stamps by theme but I also have 3 shoeboxes full of general stamps, easy to forget what I have since I never got on the record keeping train.

Anyhoo - I thought it would be fun to do a blind selection and create a project from whatever I picked out - sight unseen- from my collection.

Here's my project using the G'Day Mate stamp set (randomly selected.)

I also used 3 dies from the Card Mat Dies, the Birch Tree and Vine Stencils and some leaves from the Tropical Flowers Dies.  The image was cut using a Scan N Cut and colored using Copics.

Today I'd like to share a shaker/gift card holder design that was shared by Jennifer McGuire.

It's a unique idea and I thought it would be fun to try it.

The gift card slips right into the shaker pocket.  There is a flap inside the card that allows for easy access to the gift card and still keep the shaker element in place.
