Paradise

Hi friends! It's Julee popping in to share a little Jaded Blossom inspiration with you. Since our community pool opened over the weekend and it's the final week of school for my boys, I had summer on my mind when I sat down to create.

I made a splishy splashy kind of background, then used the Fish Stencil with a light layer of mint hydrangea paper glaze for some fun shimmer. Next I set the panel aside to dry and pulled out the Large Palm Tree Die and some brown, kraft, and green cardstocks.  I added some shading with Copic markers, then assembled.

Next I pulled out some distress sprays and sprayed a panel of watercolor cardstock with various brown shades.  I made one half of the paper lighter than the other, then cut the starfish with the Gnome Dies: Beach Add Ons from the lighter side.  I used the balloon border die from Border Dies 2 as my hill, hand trimming the balloon tie off.

Once things were dry, I added some splatters to the fish background, then glued on the hill and ran the panel through the die cut machine with the Card Mat Dies. I then layered everything together and added a sentiment from the Tropical Vibes set die cut with the coordinating outline dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

You Make Me Happy

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in today with a little inspiration for your Tuesday. I pulled out an old favorite of mine, the Just Add Marshmallows set and paired it with the Gnome Dies: S'more Add Ons for a just because kind of card.

The image of the cocoa mug was colored with Copic markers, then I cut a slit in the top to tuck in a few marshmallows cut with the Gnome Dies: S'more Add Ons.  I Copic colored one of the large marshmallow die cuts to finish off my focal point.

I used the Card Mat Dies for most of the panels of patterned paper, then pulled out the Happy Hello set for the sentiment strip.  I finished off with a few sparkling enamel dots for accent.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope your day is happy!

Be Happy

Hi friends! It's Julee and it's my day to share a little Jaded Blossom inspiration on the blog. I've been feeling a little lackluster lately in the creative department.  When that happens, I like to get back to basics and just do some good old fashioned stamping and coloring.

This Rainbow Doodle image had yet to see ink, so I stamped it and the sentiment out in Mememto ink and got to work coloring them up with Copic markers. I added a few accents with a white gel pen, a clear stardust gel pen, and some glossy accents.

Since I had so much going on with all the happy colors, I decided to go with the Sunburst Card Mat Die in yellow, inlaid with white cardstock so the focus could be on the image.  I added both the image and sentiment on dimensional foam tape, then finished off with some aqua glimmer drops.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastically happy day!

A Little Dirt Never Hurt

Hi friends! Beep! Beep! It's Julee Tilman popping in to share a little Jaded Blossom inspiration with y'all. I had fun getting dirty with the new Off Road Mini Release.

For my project I cut the jeep parts from the Car Dies: Off Road Vehicle from army green  and black cardstock, and a silver foil cardstock that I aged with black soot archival for the bumper.  I cut a piece of vellum to glue behind for the windshield, then dirtied up my jeep with some "mud" using the snow pieces from the North Pole Sign die set.

For the background, I picked out a gel pressed background from my stash in brown colors, then added some dirt splotches using portions of the Coffee Stain Stencil. To muddy things up I spritzed some water on and did a bit of smooshing with some coordinating brown  inks.  I did a little extra smooshing for the sentiment. It's from The Road Less Traveled, embossed in brown, then cut with the coordinating The Road Less Traveled Outline Dies. A strip of torn brown cardstock grounds the sentiment, and I popped the jeep up on dimensional foam tape. The 4x4 on the license plate was done by performing a little stamp surgery to the "I like my 4x4 topless" sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day!

Easter Eggs Ahead

Hey crafty friends! It's Julee Tilman hopping by with a little Easter inspiration using some favorite Jaded Blossom supplies. I think the Happy Easter Gnomie set is one of my favorite stamp sets.  It's so fun to color up these bunny gnomes.

So I started with the gnomie, coloring him up with Copic markers, then cutting with the coordinating Outline Dies. I layered some Doodlebug papers for the background using the Rectangles 2 and Scallop Rectangles 2 Dies.

The sign is cut from white card stock using the North Pole Sign and I added a bit of shading with some gray Copics. I cut the sign portion from patterned paper and then embossed the sentiment from Bunny Trail in white. I finished with some little grass die cuts courtesy of the Mushroom House Die, then scattered a few enamel dots for accent.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have an egg-straordinary day!

Butterfly Hello

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in with a bit of Jaded Blossom inspiration. Today I'm pulling out a few oldies but goodies and bringing the spring vibes.

This month, the Jaded Blossom challenge is to use stencils, so I pulled out the Vine Stencil for the background on this one. For my focal images, I chose the multi step stamping set, Butterflies. I inked up the top half of the solid butterfly with yellow and the bottom half with orange for a nice two tone look I stamped the frame and antennae in black, then added some white gel pen accents to the tips of the butterfly wings. Next I cut the butterflies with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  They're adhered with liquid glue in the centers, then each wing is popped up with a foam dot for that flying off the page look.

The stenciled panel was cut with the Rectangle 1 Dies and I chose a black mat for it using the Scallop Rectangles 1 Dies. The hello is from Basic Word Dies, and I cut it 3 times from black and layered for some extra dimension. I finished off with an A2 card base and a few sparkle enamel dots for accent.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day! PS. There's still time to play along in this month's Jaded Blossom challenge for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice. Plus there's a sale on stencils at Jaded Blossom this month you might want to check out!

Will You Be My Gnomie

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in with a little be my gnomie Valentine card. Jaded Blossom just received a large restock of products. One of my favorite stamp sets is back in stock, so I just had to whip up a little card featuring the darling Gnome Kisses set.

I pulled out some favorite patterns from the Snow Much Fun paper pad (also restocked) and used it to inspire my color palette, coloring up the image with Copic markers.  I kept the layout pretty simple, using two Diamond Die cuts butted up next to each other for the diagonal strip.

I added a few hearts from the Snow Puffy Icon Stickers scattered around my stamped and colored image, then finished off with a sentiment banner below. Isn't that gnomie jus the cutest?

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day!

Gnome One Like You

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman here to share a little inspiration with you. Today I've got a little shaker valentine's card I created with the My Gnomie stamp set and the Rectangle Dies and Scallop Rectangle Dies.

I love this little image and sentiment stamp from the My Gnomie set, and thought it would make a great shaker card. I stamped the main stamp and the coordinating gnomie onto white cardstock, then colored with Copic markers. I cut the extra gnome image with the coordinating My Gnomie Outline Dies and then glued over the image. I also stamped the little circle "you" letters in red and fussy cut to add a little extra interest.

The shaker portion is created with a mix of the Rectangle Dies 1 and 2 and the Scallop Rectangle Dies.  I added a custom mix of sequins from my stash, then finished off with a card mat layer that was dry embossed with a heart embossing folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic day!

More Chocolate and Marshmallows

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in to share a little inspiration with you.  Today I've got a fun little treat giving project. I recently watched a live on YouTube where they were making altered coffee sleeve treat pouches. I remembered making these back in the day, so decided it was time to make some more.

My first stop was Starbucks, because any excuse to go get coffee, right? I kept my coffee sleeve and gathered a few more from my family, then spent an evening watching football tracing the coffee sleeves onto scraps of patterned paper from Christmas past and cutting them out. I added a little lace to the bottom with some clear tacky glue, and since the glue seeped through the lace a bit, I was able to press in some champagne glass glitter for a touch of gold.

I then pulled out the Poinsettia two step stamping set and picked out some reds and greens to stamp them out. I layered four of the leaves  behind the large poinsettia on pop dots, then accented with some yellow stickles.  The sentiment is from the Hot Cocoa & Marshmallows set and stamped onto a label from the  Label Shape Dies 1 set. I glued this to the top of my coffee sleeve, then got to work filling my cellophane bag.

I stuffed this one with a couple packets of Ghirardelli hot cocoa, a large peppermint chocolate marshmallow, a couple chocolate spoons, and my favorite little white chocolate peppermint Lindor truffles. I tied it up with a bit of ribbon, and then tucked it into the coffee sleeve. Super easy and the perfect little gift for a friend or neighbor

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic day

Sunflower Hello

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in with a bit of sunny inspiration for your Tuesday.

I love the beautiful new Sunflower Dies from the October mini release. I know I'll be using them a ton. I cut the flower parts from colored cardstock, then did a bit of accenting with Copic markers and assembled with liquid glue. I also put together a smaller sunflower from the Wheelbarrow Dies: Fall Add Ons in the same way.

The background is stenciled onto kraft cardstock with the Sunflower Stencil Set. After I finished with the seed layer, I added some translucent texture paste while the stencil was still in place to give a little dimension and shine to the background. Next I layered everything together, and finished with a die cut sentiment from the Basic Word Dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a sunshiney day!

Pa rum pum pum pum

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in with a little gnomie inspiration for your Tuesday. I just love the little drum major outfit in the new Gnome Dies: Christmas Add Ons 3 and needed to make a card with her center stage. The outfit pieces are cut from colored cardstock, then shaded with a bit of coordinating ink.  I used silver foil cardstock for the accent pieces on the uniform, as well as on the drum and drum sticks. the body parts and shoes are cut from white card stock using the Gnome Dies: Extra Parts add ons, then colored with Copic markers.

For the background I stenciled pink cardstock tone on tone with the Snowflake Stencil, then splattered a bit of white bleed proof paint on it. I added a patterned paper piece of woodgrain for the floor, then a silver pinstripe sticker for the divider between the floor and the wall.  I rounded the corners of the panel and matted with silver cardstock.

Next I embossed the sentiment from Nutcrackin' Christmas in silver on pink cardstock. I cut with the coordinating outline dies, then cut 2 more to layer for dimension. The card base was stenciled with the same Snowflakes Stencil, this time with Sparkle Texture Paste.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative day.

Bone Chilling Halloween

Hi crafty friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in with a little Jaded Blossom inspiration for your day. I've been loving creating Halloween cards lately, and I've got a bone chilling one for you today.

I usually stay firmly on the cutesy side of the Halloween spectrum, but today's card took a little spookier turn. I started by assembling the witch doctor from the Gnome Dies: Monster Add Ons 2 set. All pieces were cut from cardstock. I colored the black pieces with distress inks and all the other pieces with alcohol markers, adding a few white gel pen accents on the feathers where the embossed veins were.  Once he was put together, I thought it would be fun to have a pile of bones behind him, so I pulled out the Clear Jar: Halloween Add Ons and stamped the pile of bones a couple of times, then colored and cut out to place behind my gnomie.

For the background I stamped a red piece of cardstock randomly with stamps from the Paisley set.  I liked the subtle bit of texture it added.  The black panel is gray cardstock that I stenciled with the Spiderweb Stencil in black ink. I think that's one of my favorite stencils!

The sentiment is from the Bone Chilling Treats set and embossed in white on black cardstock, then cut with the coordinating Outline Dies. To finish things off I created a skull and crossbones with the skull and bone in the Monster Add Ons 2, cutting the two bones in half and gluing them behind the skull.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabuolously creative day!

Let's Be Frank

Hi crafty friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in with a little caffeinated inspiration for you featuring the Halloween Hisses stamp set. I'm a coffee lover through and through, and I just couldn't pass up the chance to color this franken-mug.

I stamped him with Memento ink, then colored with Olo alcohol markers. I had a lot of fun adding some stubble accents and flecks to his eyes.  Next I layered up some paper scraps, matting with a chocolate cardstock.  The sentiment is stamped onto a rectangle from the Card Mat Dies. I finished off with a green puffy heart, then added a little bit of stitching accents to my horizontal strip.

Hope this inspires and you have a fantastically creative day!

A Marshmallow World

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in with some sweet inspiration today. The awesome new s'mores mini release got me thinking about the adorable cocoa sets from last year, so I just had to pair them up for today's card.

I really do love any chance to color, so I started out by stamping images from the Kawaii S'mores set as well as the cocoa mug from Just Add Marshmallows. I then colored with Copic markers and cut out.  To add in the chocolate, I assembled the chocolate bar from the Gnome Dies: S'mores Add Ons. I love that there are little individual squares of chocolate! So fun.

I layered my images together onto a gingham patterned paper background, then added a topper of white cardstock and brown cardstock using the Border Dies 2 set.  The sentiment is from the Hot Cocoa & Marshmallows set and I embossed it in white onto the brown cardstock.  The mini marshmallow is the marshmallow on the stick in the Kawaii S'mores set, I just fussy cut it, then added a cute little face from the Campfire S'mores freebie set. I finished off with a few sparkling enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a super sweet day!

Gnome Worries

Hey there, Gnomies! It's Julee Tilman popping in to share a little inspiration with you. The card idea started out with the Gnome Worries Bee Happy set. I stamped it at an angle onto a leftover die cut from the Window Card Mat Die. The image was colored with Copic markers, accented with stickles, and matted with black cardstock.

I selected fun bee themed paper pack for my layers, using one of my Mojo Monday sketches for the start of the layout. This particular sketch called for a circle, but I swapped it out with die cuts from the Stitched Octagon Dies and added an extra layer, since I'm a more is more kind of girl!

I decided to use one of the hexagons on the honeycomb paper to house my sentiment, which is from the Gnome Candies *Grid Style*. I love how it fit so perfectly there. I finished off with more paper from the same paper pad and black mats for everything.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a bee-utiful day!

Happy Birthday Sailor

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in today to share a fun birthday card featuring Jaded Blossom goodies. It's my birthday today, so I just had to make a birthday card to share here.

My Girl Gnome is all decked out with a little sailor outfit courtesy of the Gnome Dies: Beach Add Ons and Gnome Dies: Leg Add Ons. All pieces are die cut from white cardstock and colored with alcohol markers.  To get a metallic worn look to the anchor, I added some Tim Holtz foundry wax.

The beach background paper is from an old Kaisercraft paper pad and cut with the Card Mat Dies.  I finished off with a sentiment from Ahoy Gnomie, cut with the coordinating outline dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderfully creative day!

Meet Meow at the Tiki Bar

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in to share a little Jaded Blossom inspiration with you. Our family is pretty excited to be adopting a kitten this afternoon, and in his honor I have prepared a cat card, tiki style.

This little kitty is from the adorable Mew Did It set and I colored him with alcohol markers then cut with the coordinating die.  The tiki bar is built with the Build a Booth Die, and Build a Booth Die: Tiki Add Ons. I used both the hibiscus and leaf banners cut from colored cardstock.  The tiki torch is from the Gnome Dies: Tiki Add Onsadding a bit of shading with alochol markers.

The pina colada is from the Tiki Hut Dies. I used some a white paint pen to give that creamy colada look, then created a teeny pineapple wedge from a circle die cut to accent the cup.

The sentiment is from the Pineapples for Sale set. I love how the sentiments all fit the die from the orgiinal Build a Booth Die.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a super creative day.

Life Lemons and Tea

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in today to share a little Jaded Blossom inspiration with you! This one pairs a few old favorites with goodies from the June 1st release.

Did you get the gorgeous Lemon Stencil earlier this month? I love it so much! I used Limoncello and Chiffon inks for the lemon layers, then grass skirt for the leaves. Once I was done inking the layers I lined up the lemon stencil once more and went over it with translucent texture paste for some cool texture.

I pulled out the Cup of Tea set and decided to mask off the images on the tag and use the die cuts from the Build a Booth: BBQ Add Ons. I embossed the sentiment in black on vellum, then cut with the Luggage Tag, layering two pieces of vellum to give the tag some substance,

Next I pulled out the gorgeous Floral Coffee Art set (I'm pretending it's a cup of tea for the purposes of this card) and got to work coloring with Copic markers.  I then cut it out with the Floral Coffee Outline Dies and popped up on foam tape for added dimension. I finished off with a little seam binding bow at the top of the tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderfully creative week!

Hibiscus Birthday

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in with a little CAS inspiration for you. Are you playing along with this month's challenge? There's a stamp set of your choice up for grabs!

The Hibiscus stamp set has been on my wishlist for a while now, and I treated myself to a little wishlist shopping spree for Mother's Day. I love how easy a multi step stamping set makes the coloring, and it's a great jumping off point for a CAS design. I stamped the hibiscus flowers in pinks and blues, then cut with my Brother Scan 'n Cut.

For a little backdrop, I used another shopping spree set, Spring Splatters, stamping in blue and yellow, then die cutting with the Stitched Circles.  I matted with a scallop circle cut from vellum, then finished off with the happy birthday sentiment from Fancy Birthday.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a super creative day!

Mer-May-zing

Hi crafty friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in with a little inspiration. Since it's Mer-May I decided to create today's card with the Be a Mermaid stamp set. This set is one of my faves!

I knew I wanted a watery background, so pulled out some craft plastic and alcohol inks in blues and aquas and went to town! When it was to my liking I cut it out with the Diagonal Card Mat Die. Craft plastic is  notoriously difficult to die cut, but to my great surprise I only had to help a little with my craft knife.  I inlaid the alchohol inked pieces into the white cardstock frame, then adhered it to another layer of cardstock.

The sweet mermaid was colored with Copic markers, then I cut her with my Brother Scan 'n Cut using a .04" border.  The sentiment is embossed onto one of the dies from the Word Bubbles Dies.  I finished off with a few clear enamel dots for accent.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope your day is mer-may-zing!
