Guest Designer Samantha

Hello & Welcome!

I've had such a fun, creative month with Jaded Blossom as a guest design for the month of July. I'm so glad to have this opportunity to play with the new release which can now be viewed on the Jaded Blossom shop here

For my final project this month I decided to play around with an older release stamp set: Diamond in the Rough and pair it up with Jaded Blossoms Star die. If you didn't know I have a 4 year old who loves quite a few Disney Princesses - so I may have been a little inspired by the movie Aladdin but mostly excited to colour and create my starry night background for this card.

I kept my background somewhat simple - I thought about using ink to blend in a sky background but though it might be too much with the blue and yellows. So using a dark blue card front I die cut some of the stars. I then adhered corrugated card or pattern paper to the back of the negative space and added some stitched outline details. I also die cut a few stars out using dark blue card and silver corrugated card. These were adhere with foam tape to give the card addition dimension and interest.

I coloured in the Genie and his Lamp. Fussy cut (or cut with an electronic machine: Silhouette Cameo) and adhered this to the card front.

Copic Markers Used:
Lamp: Y35/Y26/Y28
Genie: B000/B01/B02/B04/Y35/YG21/YG23/YG25

Finally I embellished the card with more die cut stars, star sequins and a twine bow. I adhered the card front to an A6 side folding card base.

I thought I'd accompany the card with a little treat using the Paper Bag die. Couldn't resist buying some Golden ROUGH chocolate and using the left over starts and coloured in stamp pieces.

Happy Crafting! I hope you enjoyed today's card and if you didn't get a chance to view my projects this month as guest designer please come and check out my Instagram: My Little Paper World or go to the Jaded Blossom Blog for a whole bunch of coffee inspired projects!

Everyone Gnomes Coffee Is Life!

Happy Friday everyone! Have you checked out this month's monthly challenge at Jaded Blossom? The theme for July is RED, WHITE and BLUE. You still have another day to play along with us! The deadline to link up your card is August 1st at 11:59pm PST for a chance to win a FREE stamp set of your choice!

Those of you who follow me know I love gnomes and I love sugary coffee so this month's release has been one of my faves! Today I made a gift of instant coffee packets for a friend using Gnome Brewed. To create the holder, I used the Scallop Caddy Die.

 Copics:
Skin: E11, E13, E15, E37
Hair: N0, N2, N4, N6
Teal: BG32, BG34, BG72, BG75, BG78
Purple: V04, V12, V15, V17, BV08
Gold Sharpie Paint Marker

For the background, I stamped the smaller coffee cup from the Gnome Brewed Stamp Set onto watercolor paper with embossing ink, sprinkled on gold embossing powder and heat set it. Next, I used my Zig Watercolor Markers, water, and a paintbrush to color in the cups. To finish it off, I splattered the purple and mint ink all over the panel.

We hope you come play along with us! For more inspiration head over to the Jaded Blossom Blog! And be sure to check out the Jaded Blossom Store for all your stamps and gift giving supplies. They have various Cutting Dies to make party favors along with Favor Bags and Boxes.

Hugs,
Rosie

Hipster Santa

Hello!  Marcia here from The Frolicking Fairy with a fun holiday card using this hipster Santa and somewhat non-traditional colors.  I just love how fresh and cool it is. I mean, like, whatever dude.  It is also more fun inspiration for the current Jaded Blossom July Challenge: Red, White, Blue.

I colored Santa with alcohol markers, stamping in grey instead of black. I love how much softer the overall look is that way. Then using strips die cut from Border Dies, I wove the background. That was a chore! I didn't adhere down and build since I wasn't sure how I wanted the finished product to look. Needless to say, I'm glad it didn't take more than an hour. LOL The sentiment was also stamped in grey and card assembled. I just love it -- hope my brother will too in a few months. Don't forget, the HUGE sale with Jaded Blossom is still happening! The products used for this totally hip card are on sale now!

Happy Anniversary!

Hey Everyone!

Jamie here to share an anniversary card with you today!

First off I'm obsessed with these new Slimline Dies! So I started with the scallop and rectangle layer. I used the Heart Dies 2 to cut the negative in the pink paper and then made a skinny frame with Heart Dies 1 and 2. Then I used the Random Heart Stencil to created a pattern on the pink paper. On the white scallop layer I added the image from Heart Beats and a sentiment from You Go Together Add On. Last I stamped a sentiment from Heart Beats and added "still" from a Sassy Candies stamp I masked to a Mini Tag Die 3.

Another Birthday? No Prob-llama

Hello everyone, Marcia here from The Frolicking Fairy.  It's my day on the Jaded Blossom blog and I have this fun birthday tag featuring Llama Tell You. In all honesty, I may mount this sucker on a card base too. Isn't she just adorable?! Don't forget, the big sale is underway - everything in the store is marked down until the 24th!

I watercolored our sweet llama with Karin markers, thinking of pink cotton candy as I went. For a fun contrast, I colored her bandana teal, knowing also that this frosted brownie treat was teal too. Yummy! Diamonds are very southwest and made a perfect layered tag (or card topper).

Until next time..

Java Time!

Happy Friday everyone! Have you checked out the monthly challenge at Jaded Blossom? The theme for July is:
RED, WHITE, and BLUE
You still have time to play along with us! The deadline to link up your card is Saturday, August 1st at 11:59pm PST for a chance to win a FREE stamp set of your choice!

Since this month's release was all about coffee, I decided to combine the coffee theme with the Red, White, and Blue Challenge. I used this adorable gal from the set called JAVA TIME. Isn't she CUTE?!
The best part is that this set is 40% off right now during the JULY CELEBRATION SALE (7/10-7/25)!!

 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
Hair: E42, E47, E49
Red: R24, R27, R29, R59
Blue: B06, B97, B99
White: C3, C5, Colorless Blender
Black: C5, C8, Black

I recently ordered some Jaded Blossom dies, and one of my new favorites is the COFFEE SLIDER DIE. It makes the perfect gift card holder for your coffee loving friends. It's also part of the sale and is 20% off!! To create the coffee bean background I used the new COFFEE BEAN STENCIL (hurry, only 2 of these left in the store) with Broken China and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks. The patterned red, white and blue paper is from Doodlebug Design Land That I Love 6x6 Paper Pad. The "Hope Your Birthday is Grande" sentiment came from the new FRAPPE BIRTHDAY CLEAR STAMP SET.

Here you can see how the top of it slides out to show the gift card. I raised the Java girl and sentiment on foam tape for extra dimension.

We hope you come play along with us! And be sure to check out the Jaded Blossom Store to grab all those deals from the July Celebration Sale!! They also have various Cutting Dies to make party favors along with Favor Bags and Boxes.
