Butterfly Hello

Hi friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in with a bit of Jaded Blossom inspiration. Today I'm pulling out a few oldies but goodies and bringing the spring vibes. 

This month, the Jaded Blossom challenge is to use stencils, so I pulled out the Vine Stencil for the background on this one. For my focal images, I chose the multi step stamping set, Butterflies. I inked up the top half of the solid butterfly with yellow and the bottom half with orange for a nice two tone look I stamped the frame and antennae in black, then added some white gel pen accents to the tips of the butterfly wings. Next I cut the butterflies with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  They're adhered with liquid glue in the centers, then each wing is popped up with a foam dot for that flying off the page look.

The stenciled panel was cut with the Rectangle 1 Dies and I chose a black mat for it using the Scallop Rectangles 1 Dies. The hello is from Basic Word Dies, and I cut it 3 times from black and layered for some extra dimension. I finished off with an A2 card base and a few sparkle enamel dots for accent.

I HEART U Cupcake Card

Happy Friday everyone! It's Rosie here today with my latest project for Jaded Blossom. I have a bunch of the Gnome Dies Add Ons and wanted to challenge myself to use them for something different. I decided to create a Valentine's Day cupcake using products you probably wouldn't expect. After creating this one, I'm thinking of creating more for the other holidays.

I don't have the Cupcake Slider Die form Jaded Blossom (I know....it's a tragedy!), so I went through my pantry and decided to use a real cupcake liner. I cut it apart to create the cupcake base. Next, I used the car front grill die from the Car Dies: Cruiser to create the chocolate cake peeking out from the liner. I cut down the whip cream hat from Gnome Dies: Coffee Add Ons to create the frosting. The sprinkles came from Gnome Dies: Breakfast Add Ons. The little hearts are from Gnome Dies: Valentine Add Ons. The cupcake topper words are from Gnome Dies: Sweethearts Add Ons. I used a die from Cowboy Add Ons for the thin stick under the word toppers.

The red scallop mats were created using Scallop Rectangle Dies 1 and Scallop Rectangle Dies 2. And, of course, I had to add some heart patterned paper from one of my favorite companies, Doodlebug Design.

Holy Crab! It's Your Birthday!

 Happy Friday everyone! My latest card for Jaded Blossom features this adorable crab from the Gnome Dies: Beach Add Ons. I fell in love with this awesome fella as soon as I saw him! The great thing about the Add-ons is that there are so many dies that can be used on their own without using the gnomes. So even if you aren't a gnome lover (GASP!), you can still purchase the sets for the accessory dies. When I saw the sentiment "Holy Crab! It's Your Birthday!" that's part of the Ahoy Gnomie Stamp Set, I knew I wanted to create a beach scene with a bunch of crabs.

 

I cut the crabs from watercolor paper and used Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers and a paintbrush to color them. Next, I added dots on the body with Copic Marker R17 and used a black multiliner to add the eyes. To create the white scallop card base, I used Scallop Rectangle Dies 1. The sand paper is a digital file.

Congrats on Your New House

Happy Monday my crafty friends!! I cannot believe we are at the end of January already!!

Today I have a card to share with you that I made for a coworker who just purchased her 

first house!! I am so excited for them!! I thought the cute "Mushroom House Die" would

make a great focal point on my card. 

My card is an odd size so I ended up making my own envelope to go with it.

I wanted to use the largest scallop rectangle from the "Scallop Rectangle Dies 1" set so I 

ended up with a card size of 5"x6.25".

Sunflower Birthday Card

I decided to do some inking on my die cuts so I cut them all out with white cardstock and used a variety of inks from my stash to add color to the die cuts. 

I went with a sunflower theme for my daughter's card because it coordinated with some of the gifts I was giving her.  I got her a handful of fall decor items that had a sunflower theme.

Deery Christmas To You!

 Happy Friday everyone! I'm back today with a card featuring stamps and dies from Jaded Blossom. And did you see that I followed the Animal Challenge theme? Remember, you have until September 4th to play along for a chance at a FREE stamp set! 

I've been wanting to color up this adorable deer for a while and finally decided to pull out the HELLO DEER Stamp Set. I also used the mini deer and hoof stamp included in the set to create my own patterned paper. FUN, right?!!

The cute Christmas sentiment is also part of the Hello Deer set. To create the scallop border on the patterned paper, I placed the pattern paper on top of the red cardstock and used the large rectangle in the Scallop Rectangle Dies 1 Set to cut the paper at an angle. Then I just staggered the two pieces to get the red border.

You're RAWR-ABLE!

 Who says dinosaurs have to be green or gray? I decided to go with a pink and purple theme this time around for a card featuring products from Jaded Blossom! The dinosaur is from the Prehistoric Age Stamp Set. I created the patterned paper at the top of the card using Dinosaur Candies Stamps and Scallop Rectangle Dies 1.

 
I rubbed Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks on Bristol Paper and then splattered water over the top. I stamped the dinosaur on the inked paper and fussy cut it out. Then I used various stamps from the Dinosaur Candies Stamps and stamped on the rest of the inked paper to create my own matching decorative paper.
