Hi Everyone! Zeni here. I'm so excited to be able to participate in the Jaded Blossom Birthday Celebration and being a guest designer!!! Jaded Blossom is one of my favorite stamp companies, not to mention that Candace and Michelle are great crafting friends as well and a lot of fun to learn from. For my project I created an advent calendar. I've never done one and decided to do one with different activities for my kids to do throughout the Christmas season. WARNING!!! A LITTLE PICTURE HEAVY BELOW! :)

Each pocket has one of activity for the day. Out of the 24 activities,
6 of them are RACKs (Random Acts of Christmas Kindness). Every night we pick out the next day activities and if it's a RACK tag, we come up with something to do to make a difference.
Here is a closer view of the different sections of the calendar:

I used Jaded Blossom's Christmas Wishes, Christmas Candy and Alphabet Candy
to make the banner heading and to add the cute little Christmas designs around the calendar.

bottom I used the Lovebug Creations rumple ribbon Christmas Joy collection (Christmas Present) to divide the sections and hang them together.
samples of tags
The tags I made using the print and cut feature on my cameo along with Pretty Paper Graphics Christmas Brights Chevron and Strips and Christmas Brights Circles and Spots digital paper. |
On the middle section of the calendar, I attached this cute little bag so that everyday the tags can get placed in there.
Materials:
Lovebug Creations Christmas Present rumple ribbon
DCWV Evergreen Stack and Merry Christmas Stack
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave some love each day for the guest designers. There will be a random winner chosen to win the whole entire January collection, but you must comment everyday on the guest designer's blog.
Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteZeni, your project is so awesome. What a great way to start a family tradiion. I really love how you included the gift of giving to others (RAKS), so that your children can learn giving, kindness, thoughtfulness, sharing, caring, etc... My son's are grown adults now, and I have no grandchildren yet, but this may be a great thing for my hubby and I to do for the month of December. Thanks for inspiring.
